The simplest adoption is a rule: no survey is booked until someone has run the postcode. That single step removes the properties where the work is already installed, the rating is wrong on the enquiry form, or the address does not match the register.

How trade users work with Sapling
Is Sapling a lead generation service?
No. Sapling is a free public-data lookup tool. Households own their report and choose whether to share it with a contractor, and any sharing happens with explicit consent.
What property detail does the lookup return?
The certificate record held on the official register: the A to G band and score, recorded wall, roof, floor, glazing, heating and hot water detail, plus the recommended measures and their modelled savings.
Can I use a Sapling report inside my own quote?
Yes. The underlying data is public register data, so pointing a customer at the same free report makes your scope and pricing easier to verify and reduces disputes on survey day.
Does the register cover Scotland or Northern Ireland?
Sapling reads the England and Wales register. Scotland and Northern Ireland maintain separate registers, so those addresses will not return a result.
